I enjoyed the mystery in this book. My major complaints were trying to follow the time line such as first the heroine was going to her sister’s, then she wasn’t, then she was packing, then she was at home but her sister was gone or they were to go to bed early, but then they would meet after dinner or she had hurt her ankle and was supposed to rest but the next thing you know she is walking to the river for a picnic; every character seemed to sleep a lot during the day; could not visualize the layout of the manor as they went down to the bedrooms, up to the study, down to the dining room, from the drawing room down the hall to the bedroom then upstairs to the drawing room, etc. I couldn’t figure out why the hero was so quick to get into temper with his uncle as he enjoyed having him at the wedding, but then later didn’t really want him around and why the uncle spent so much time at the manor. The heroine was very likable and very early on understood her husband. This is a sweet romance, even though you knew they had sexual relations, nothing was spelled out. I hope a good editing job clears up my concerns.
